PRACTICAL & TUTORIAL (PROJECT 4 :  SELF-TITLED)

  • Importing to After Effects
I imported the final poster to After Effects and animated my collage this week. But there was trouble that not objects but entire layers were selected, so it didn't move as my thoughts. For example, I want the tart to rotate at a fixed place, but the tart itself was rotated the entire screen. To fix this problem, I went back to Photoshop and merged the adjustment layer and the normal layer. By doing so, this was solved.

As for the animation, I focused and aimed to pour the tea smoothly while varying the types of movements for the pot and cup. The cup is animated with rotation, and the pot is with scale because I wanted to express the scene of pouring tea in an elegant atmosphere. Also, I changed the speed for each bus to make a difference.

Here's each value for the animation of blue & red buses, tart, pot, and teacup:

Reflective writing

As I mentioned earlier, there was a problem with the animation, and I was confused and spent 4 hours completing this task. However, I was able to know that the adjustment layer should be merged when importing to After Effects. This is important information and good to know that.
