In this module, I realized that there are a lot of ways to design a poster with the design principle even though you create it based on the same theme. In the process of thinking of composition and the way to represent the theme "color contact lenses," I tried to create different designs in sketches while incorporating the way to relate each object, eye, and the person wearing a dress in the original poster. I used the same technique, "the similarity of similarity," but the result was a completely different piece, which is very interesting for me. Also exploring color palettes and placement is fun because only changing them affects the atmosphere of the work completely. On the other hand, what I didn't enjoy the most was refining the line of drawing. Since clean and precise lines are required, it was a very challenging task, and I actually spent the most time on that. Through this module, I found myself enjoying thinking of ideas such as composition and color while sketching. Also searching Pinterest and imagining how I combine and make my work original is interesting, and I concentrated on that. What made me change in this module is that I have started observing which design principles are used when I come across a great piece of work. Before, I would simply think, I like this piece, without much thought, so this is a significant change for me. On the other hand, what hasn't changed is the struggle to complete a piece. As I mentioned earlier, I enjoy exploring ideas, so this feeling has never faded. Lastly, my aspiration is to generate flexible ideas, develop game concepts, and create fine work. I want to keep observing great works and studying their compositions to improve my skills.
